HAPPY SUNDAE!
Here's the latest finished guys in my ice cream series. I found some different bowls so I thought I'd try them out too. The spoon in the pic below is from Baskin-Robbins. I just sanded off the name and spray painted it silver.

INKED
I got my first tattoo yesterday. It wasn't bad at all. Child birth much worse! I've never gotten one before because I could never commit to a design. I'm one of those people who'll do an illustration, design, plush, whatever, and in a week I don't like it or wished I'd had done it differently. The last thing I wanted to do was get a tattoo and hate it in a week. But I decided to get one on my back so I wouldn't have to see it everyday. It was also easier to commit to this design because it represents my daughter Violet. The flower is a violet and the stem of the flower becomes a V. I will have to say that this design changed about three times over the last 3 months. I am SUPER happy with it. I got the tattoo at Exile Tattoo by the super talented Jessie Hopeless. It pays to know the best tattoo artist in town. So if you're in KC and need a tattoo, this is the place to go!!
Rare photo of me since I never post pics of myself.

CHERRY ON TOP
Here's my ice cream guys that I'll be sending to Stuffed Magazine. I just realized I totally forgot the spoon. Guess I'll have to retake my photo.
I decided that the glasses needed to be colored. So I just taped off the outside of the glass and spray painted the inside. To bad they don't actually come like that.

TWO SCOOPS,PLEASE!
MMM...ICE CREAM
I've decided to do make some plush ice cream guys to send off to Stuffed Mag. Here's a sketch of what I'm thinking. I bought some cheap glass ice cream dishes at Walmart for $1.50. I've decided that my ice cream guys will sit in the dish. The big question is how I'm going to get them to sit in it without falling out.

MONKEY #2
Here's the last monkey. Same colors, different sitting position. He's the sad sensitive one.
He measures 14" tall and his wing span is 9 1/2" wide.
This is the first year that non of my pieces will have a stand. They stand perfectly on their own and I don't think it's necessary. The tail, just like the other monkey, helps to hold him up.

FINISHED MONKEY
I never had a chance to take any progress pics. So here he is all complete. He measures 14" tall and his wing span is 15". I was originally going to make his wings much bigger but decided it might distract from his awesome face. I am really happy with how it turned out so I decided it would be the center of focus and not the wings.
I'm working on the second guy right now.
