FABRIC STASH
::click image to see larger::
I love coming home and finding a package at my door. Especially one full of new fabric. I recently ordered a bunch of fabric from fabric.com to start making some new fall clothes for my daughter. Last year I made a bunch of jumpers. This year I think it'll be skirts and she can wear leggings under them. Now I just have to find some time inbetween plush projects and Halloween stuff to start working on them. Luckily a skirt doesn't take much longer than an hour and I don't have to worry about zippers and buttons. I'll post pics when I'm done.

MERMAID
I just realized that the deadline for Stuffed Magazine is quickly approaching. I've had this sketch done for a couple weeks but I've been so busy with trying to complete my Magicians Assistants girls that I haven't had a chance to start this. I always forget that from about mid July till the first of the year I get really busy with work for shows. I love it but I feel a little frantic right now. Anyway, I started her last night and got the head and torso sewn together. I took a pic last night that I hope to post later.

SWORD BOX TRICK
WHEEL OF DEATH

SAWED IN HALF
I finally completely finished one of the three magician assistant girls. I kept procrastinating on making the box. I am by no means a carpenter so there are a few flaws. But they work!
This is one of a series of three. I'm currently working on the box for the assistant in the box pierced with swords and the dagger wheel for the blind folded assistant with throwing daggers. They will all be headed to Plush You! LA.
This whole piece measures 4"wide x 13"long x 2 1/2"tall.
I had to use teeny tiny doll house hinges for the lid. They were a PAIN to put on.

LAST OF THE OWLS
I finally got around to taking pictures of these two owls. These will be going to Plush You! Seattle later this summer.
They do hang on the wall. I would have loved to have made the same base for these as I did the blue owl, however I know that that will not ship very well and I fear it might break. So I decided to attach them to plaques and still include the birch limb. I'm very happy with how they look on the plaque and am thinking of making myself one when I get some time.
These measure 11"x14".
